Everything is set up in a semi circle, so I can instantly access the
Mixer, Control Keyboard, Mouse, CD-Player or Piano without having
to roll around in my chair or going far - it's all in reach.

As for software choice, I prefer older versions, because they run much
faster on newer computers. If it helps me getting my ideas
down quickly before I lose them, it's good.

Audio Hardware

Mackie HR824 Monitoring in a treated room - reproduce all the low bass frequencies
Yamaha 01V Mixer - All is connected digital, no noise and instant resampling capability
Korg Kontrol49 - My main keyboard for playing music
Oktava MK-319 Microphone - A russian gem which warms up any vocalist
Sennheiser e845S Microphone - One of my first microphones, good for live music

Sound Software

Cubase SX 4 - Has all necessary features and gets the job done
Soundforge 5 - A companion since I started making music on a PC, reliable and flexible
Reason 4 - The soundquality in Reason 4 is quite better than in 3
Kontakt 3 - My main sampler in Cubase, great filters and flexibility
UAD Plugins - Neve 88rs for equalizing, EMT Plate 140 for reverb.
Razorlame - MP3 encoding - Just get those 320kbit MP3s perfectly encoded

Computer Hardware

Intel Core 2 Duo 3ghz - Equipped with an artic cooling fan, you don't hear a thing
RME Hammerfall DSP - The best and smallest drivers in the world, not one crash in 10 years
Universal Audio UAD-1 - The only Audio-DSP Card you need, takes steam off the CPU too
Universal Audio UAD-2 Quad - A birthday present from my friends, it's hard to max out 4 DSPs
Samsung 193P - A monitor with style and sharp pixels

Graphics

Photoshop 5 - Loads so fast and working is a pleasure, tried comparing it recently against CS5 (fell asleep)
Illustrator 8 - Does everything I want from vector graphics
Dreamweaver 4 - I have the newest Dreamweaver, but this version just runs so fast, clutter-free

Internet

Chrome - For standard browsing, just loads fast and easy to use
Firefox - Web development with Firebug and the Web Developer plugin - great CSS tool
Trillian - Uniting all my friends who got AIM, ICQ, Yahoo or MSN
Thunderbird - Accessing all emails via IMAP, my archives date back to 1996.
